“I’m Donna. I’m a Human Being. Maybe not the stuff of legend but every bit as important as Time Lords, thank you.” x

katiemctennants:

He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing. The fury of the Time Lord. And then we discovered why. Why this Doctor, who had fought with gods and demons, why he’d run away from us and hidden—he was being kind.

He wrapped my father in unbreakable chains, forged in the heart of a dwarf star. He tricked my mother into the event horizon of a collapsing galaxy to be imprisoned there…forever. He still visits my little sister once a year every year.  I wonder if one day he might forgive her, but there she is—can you see? He trapped her inside a mirror, every mirror. If ever you look at your reflection and see something move behind you, just for a second, that’s her. That’s always her. As for me, I was suspended in time. And the Doctor put me to work……standing over the fields of England…as their protector.
We wanted to live forever, so the Doctor made sure that we did.

“Funny thing is, this means you’ve always known how I was going to die. All the time we’ve been together, you knew I was coming here. The last time I saw you, the real you, the future you, I mean. You turned up on my doorstep with a new haircut and a suit. You took me to Derilium to see the Singing Towers. Oh, what a night that was. The Towers sang, and you cried. You wouldn’t tell me why. But I suppose it was time, my time, time to come to the Library. You even gave me your screwdriver, that should have been a clue.”

Is it okay I like Ten and Eleven equally?

capribos:

theonlywater:

‘Cause I do.

I like them all equally, if in different ways.

I like Nine because he was the first new Doctor and he is just fabulous and I loved his expressions when he was really upset or really super happy.

I like Ten because he was my Doctor and I’ll never forget watching those first episodes of Season 2 thinking ‘this show is really campy but that skinny british guy is pretty good looking so I’m gonna keep watching and see where this goes’.

I like Eleven because he’s so darn goofy and full of life in such a big way. I see so much of Nine’s emotion and Ten’s antics in him, but like ten times more intense and crazy!

And, even though I haven’t watched old Who, I love One through Eight because they are all the Doctor and I’m sure they each have something that I would equally love them for.

At the end of the day they are the Doctor and how can you not love the Doctor if you’re a DW fan?

Absolutely.

Missing Nine.
And all the other 8 Doctors if we really want to nitpick here.
